It came from another planet, it landed on Bootsie Collins' house. Back then Bootsie was just a simple farmer, but he took one look at all those mauve t__ies and he lost his mind.

He began to milk the funk, made himself a funk shake. He felt fizzy inside, he found he could see around corners. Then suddenly he passed out and when he came to he was slappin a bass guitar fast and loose like some kind of delirious funky priest.

Two months later he was world famous with his band "Parliment" and everyone wanted a peice of the funk; Brick Waitmen, even the BeeGees.

One day Parliment were travelin on the mothership foolin around with the funk, when George Clinton kicked the funk clean over board.

That was July 2nd 1979, the day the funk died
