IV. iMPRESSIONS (THE DREAM). 2:48. Piano solo.

These impressions are in fact the statement (or understatement) of
different themes to come or already mentioned earlier, under the form of
improvised variations. One of these themes is a very simple tune
starting with an octave and which is the basis of love song next. This
theme will then degenerate into a quite diabolical extrapolation.
The effects and the special treatment of the piano sound are here to
symbolise the feel of the dream.
