My personal disillusionment with American
politics, circa the 1992 presidental election.

In with a bang, out with a whimper
and at the time it didn't seem so profound
to think after twelve years of repetitive
rule a change at the top might pave the way.

I thought I'd seen the change.
Change in my time.
But all I see is tomorrow.
...and it looks just like today.

Election day- the hopes are so high
like a breath of fresh air at the dawn of a day.
Speeches are made, and promises fly.
They use them for votes and then take it away.

"Rock the Vote"
but don't rock the boat.
