Jim Reeves Track 2 Lyrics

WELCOME TO MY WORLD
Words and Music by RAY WINKLER and JOHN HATHCOCK

Welcome to my world; won't you come on in?
Miracles, I guess, still happen now and then.

Step into my heart, leave your cares behind;
Welcome to my world built with you in mind.

Knock and the door will open;
Seek and you will find.
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this world of mine.

I'll be waiting here with my arms unfurled,
Waiting just for you; welcome to my world.

"I can get my teeth into this one," Reeves noted while explaining why he enjoyed singing "Welcome To My World."
He felt this song-written by John Hathcock and Ray Winkler-would be a tremendous copyright as well as a strong night club show, or utility, number. His belief in the song has been justified.
Jim recorded it in 1962 for an album, but it was strong enough to demand consideration as a single. It became a hit-and is still played today.
It's one of the best copyrights I have," notes Mary Reeves.
