For more than a century the scientists have been pointing telescopes at the skies in an attempt to discover other forms of intelligent life. Now millions of people all over the world will have the chance to take part in a project to find other civilizations in the universe.
The SETI at home project - or the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence - at home, means that anyone with an Internet connection and a simple computer program can take part in the search for ET. However, according to the experts, the chances of finding s___e aliens are pretty small. They're not predicting immediate contact.
The whole project is based on the premise that alien civilizations - if they exist - will let us know they're there.
